Resolutions 2010- stick with God (attempt at disciplines of dependency)
- humility
- abide, rely on Him cos if not, i'm nothing
- priorities
- be super patient, don't lose temper so easily etc.
- finish homework and things earlier. No procrastination.
- listen without judging.
- be honest
- earnestly seek God
Y'know, we were clearing out the study table and I came across this:
Fleshly Service Godly Service
from human effort from divine urges
frantic, anxious dependent on God
seeks titanic ministry welcomes opportunities
(big crowds) (large or small crowds)
craves applause content with hiddenness
concerned with results leaves results with God
desires reciprocation delights only in service
picks whom to serve serves enemies & friends
serves high and powerful servant of all
feeling--> service need--> service
flaunts technique submits technique
must perform can withhold service
Its from the handout Ps Dixon gave during the worship talk thing (sorry, can't remember what it was called). Mmm.. this years gonna be. Busier. Was just thinking like ohh, i wanna do this for God and be like really good and things, but then its about what God can do using us, not what we can do 'for God', right? John 15:5. (:
Right. Here's an update.
So the cousins came. From Beijing and Adelaide. Beijing people from mum's side. Didn't really get to see them much, but they'll be back in like three/ four weeks. I think. The Adelaide people are from my dad's side. We had plenty of lunch'es and dinners with them hahah they're a fun bunch (Uncle Wilson, Aunty Jo, Nick, Georgie, Tim). Amusing-ish. ;D
